The SuperHero Project
One of the most gratifying and fun things I get to do is being an artist for The Super Hero Project. This fantastic organization puts small on faces by the art that we artists create. There’s no greater feeling than using my creative skills and talents to make a superheroes’ day.
Launched in 2017, The Superhero Project interviews kids and teens with serious illnesses, disabilities and complex mental health and physical medical needs about who they are beyond their diagnosis and how they want to make a positive difference in the world. The storytelling collaboration continues when artists design the superhero alter egos the children have described, creating a visual representation of their strength, courage, creativity and resilience. Families receive inspiring posters of their superheroes to treasure forever.
Attention! Captain Cutie Pie is here and she is ready to end all wars. Don’t be fooled by her favorite pink accessories, her classic Wonder Woman boots, her darling unicorn earrings or her general adorableness—this new superhero isn’t messing around. If people from two countries are fighting, she’ll shoot them with her freeze ray. Once they’re frozen, she’ll reason with them and end the fighting. Still, her incredible strength is matched by her sweetness. Look closely and you may find a dove nestled in her tiara, a symbol of peace for all who see her!

Who’s the superhero with super strength that stops bad guys in their tracks? Super Si! With his lighting fast wheelchair and trusty tablet, Super Si is always ready to stop the bad guys. Anytime you need him, just shine the big S in the sky and he’ll be right there. With the heart of the Black Panther, fun toys like Ironman, and the strength of the Hulk , Super Si is your guy to get things done!

Lady Justice is the newest superhero to hit the streets and she has an important mission - to end police brutality. With her determination and positive attitude, she inspires everyone who meets her. Lady Justice zooms to wherever she's needed on her custom motorcycle, with a silver sword, a shield and her trusty cell phone close at hand. The scales of justice she proudly displays to the world remind us that everyone should be treated equally. Each of us deserves to feel safe and respected, to be protected from violence and inequality. With her long curls and black cape, Lady Justice is as beautiful as she is strong. She is truly the courageous superhero that the world needs today!
